cap117 please just stop it----get a brain and join the living
likeAplan @cap117 - Getting a room with Sarah would be very interesting, we would make music like a symphony orchestra. Violence in not my cup of tea. I consider you a friend, and we are on the same team. We just want to get to the same place by taking different routes.
cap117 likeaplan--am i supposed to be impressed with your magnanimous gesture of friendship and understanding-- I trust now even less and expect you would be the first in line to lop off my head with a machete should the revolution start tomorrow--oh yeah and you and sarah should just get a room!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
likeAplan @cap117 - you are a gentleman and scholar.
ken_doyle Emperical evidence, and historical data says otherwise....why do you run fromt he truth?
dkmullen @likeAplan - If I were there, 1 would have been killed. The school would have been safe. Yeah, I'm that good under pressure.
likeAplan @ken_doyle - you do not know for certain if more or less children would have died at Sandy Hook Elementary if an armed person was at the school. One killed is one too many. Enough is enough!
ken_doyle YOur are correct about Total gun realated deaths,.....just incorrect about the break down......why would you do that?...hummmmm.....false flag?, misdirection?......or inept
ken_doyle You would be incorrect in your assurion,....FBI gun crime statistics(for 2012)........and that would be On ALL of your claims......for every gun related incident, where a "private" firearm was used in defence...AFTER an assult had begun, fewer people die....excluding of course the perp!.....movies in Texas, Mall in Oregon, just this week.......compeared to school, where NO ONE was allowed to defend themselfs let alone the children
likeAplan @ken_doyle - (you said, "Funny, HIghest gun murders upon children this last year(2012) occured in Chicago....with 342 murdered children,...) Not sure where you got your statistic, but I do not believe the number is accurate. There have been approximately 487 total murders in the Chicago area as of 12/9/2012. Your number would mean that 70% of all murders were children, and all of the homicides were not from guns. If they were, then Chicago probably needs tougher gun laws.
likeAplan @ken_doyle - (you said, "*noting* you discard more than a dozen, "shootings" stopped by folks with permits, in just the last week, malls, movies...) I say that for every instance of gun violence that is thwarted, there are about 20 that are not....the trade off is not acceptable. With that said, every man and woman right to own a single shot rifle or pistol or machine gun should not be infringed.
likeAplan @ken_doyle - (you said, "Gun violence doesn't seam to occur at places chualked full of guns however....re:police stations, shooting ranges, gun stores.............violence only seams to ocur in places saying NO......curious)....I say, A 64-year-old military veteran was shot and killed in an exchange of gunfire with police officers at a police station Sunday, November 11, 2011.
ken_doyle hows that war on drugs going?....drug free zone?
DUI's?.....are you saying we don't require the services of MADD anymore? Arsonists have stopped...right, cause its wrong.....turned in their fire?.....Democrats have stopped cheating on their taxes right....
ken_doyle Funny, HIghest gun murders upon children this last year(2012) occured in Chicago....with 342 murdered children,....all this BEFORE being sued and losing, over handgun permits
dkmullen @likeAplan - The right to protect myself and my property are GOD given. Tell the President to get rid of the gangs and drug cartels in this country, secure our borders, then come talk to me about gun laws.
ken_doyle and if there were't so many vampire bats, sucking everything dry, we would have more wealthy folks.
and like every discussion, I'm sure we aren't even close to the same meaning of wealthy
ken_doyle *noting* you discard more than a dozen, "shootings" stopped by folks with permits, in just the last week, malls, movies.......the omission of fatcual data, is simular to Nazi propagada tactics,......right before their nation was disarmed, then procceded to murder 20 million of their own civilians
ken_doyle Gun violence doesn't seam to occur at places chualked full of guns however....re:police stations, shooting ranges, gun stores.............violence only seams to ocur in places saying NO......curious
ken_doyle The right to self preservation, is god given.......
if you are foolish enough to show up at a gun fight with a knife in hand....thats your falicy
likeAplan @ken_doyle - Wealthy people have as many teats as a hog...one wealthy hog has many piglets that feed off their teats...some get plenty, others get a good helping, some get a drip and yet others get none, It is what it is. Thank GOD for wealthy people, and thank wealthy people for their tinkle.
likeAplan @ken_doyle - the right to prosperity is God given, the right is own arms is given by Men. Violence in gun free zones happens because those tend to be highly populated places. Gun violence even happens in our courtrooms. However most gun violence happens in private homes and ib public streets where some people are able to carry guns because of conceal and carry laws. Seems like the wild, wild west. Did not mean to get off topic...CONT....
ken_doyle Why is it that more gun violence occur in gun free zones then in gun allowed zones?.......
*note this is a trap* for those of you who are prone to the effects of propagada from the anti-gun crowd.
"question" have you really read the news over the last 2 weeks?
ken_doyle GUN FREE ZONE......was an infringment of everyone who died, and was in risk of dieing........and the "preditor/perp" took full advantage of the defencless animals on the game preserve...
so who's rights were infringed first?
likeAplan @dkmullen - like the right to bear arms?
dkmullen @likeAplan - Your rights stop when they begin to infringe upon others.
ken_doyle funny ...I was under the impression that "earnings" came from the fact you "invested" in a company.....
redisribution is stealing from one who had earned it, and rewarding one who had not
ScottJohnston Of course trickle down works. Since it can't "create" jobs without appropriating resources from the private sector, the private sector is the only place where a job can truly be created. The capital to fund this job creation by definition will come mostly from those who have the capital.
SarahAnneBower Well my friend if we're not here for each other what is our purpose? I just find no reason to not help and I was raised by republicans. I was told education and equality were very important items to attain for all. That when anyone receives either it helps all of us. So if I don't stand up I'm hurting everyone. Participation helps all of us feel connected. Many just fail to participate in life and are angry over not feeling needed. A basic human emotion is feeling needed and wanted. It may lack.
likeAplan @SarahAnneBower - you have exceptional wisdom and intelligent and a true humanitarian who believes in rights for all and not just a select few, my friend.
SarahAnneBower sorry I'm a wordy ol broad. So yes some gov't items need fixing but you don't throw the whole shebang out when one item needs repairing. The gov't is not a business and shouldn't run like one. The mix and balance are what make this a great place but when deregulation took over the balance was broken. Hench Gangster Banksters. Not good. Credit as a form of money has also contributed to the mess. Saving helps everyone but the banksters. A legit bank wants savers but WS likes the risky. Big game.
SarahAnneBower The mom and pops are vital to our economy especially at a local level. If we have nothing to redistribute we would crash soon. But I also believe public services are needed and the cash spent from that also helps our economy. Balancing the two forms is not a great leap and an ancient practice. To pool resources is what got us this far and mixed with private trade and voila' an economy. Now I do believe there are wasteful programs and they need to be eliminated or consolidated.
SarahAnneBower @likeAplan - Well Mr Plan I don't really get the conservative view. We can not function without redistribution of everything. That is what fuels their beloved capitalism. We need a healthy balance of capitalism and socialism. They work hand in hand nicely as long as people understand that both are needed. Anything changing hands is redistribution. Our commons and public services are what have made America shine. Our compassion for others was our great strength and I see that eroding quickly.
likeAplan @SarahAnneBower - Conservatives don't understand that if it waas not for redistribution of wealth, we would be like a tribal area country. Redistribution is the backbone that keeps mom and pops corner stores operating. It also inspires innovations, making items that all categories of income levels can purchase. even people receiving economic assistance spend that money on food, housing, energy, and entertainment. thus moving product.
SarahAnneBower ya know capitalism won't work with out some redistribution. It's called earnings and yes a form of redistribution. You people get on a word and just talk it to death and don't even get it's full meaning. Our world can not survive without some form of redistribution. Every time anything changes hands it is redistributed. Like Capitalism.
maslan817 Keynesian economic theory is flawed...Austrian economic theory is logical and promotes capitalism Nd civil liberties
